great pump worth the price,
This pump is p expensive but worth the price. You can dial in the exact RPM to get the flow rate right to move water and support items like you salt system. It takes a little while to figure out the right settings but once they are in it works like a charm. I move most of my water through the system using 250W which is a ton less power than I used to use. I only wish I had not bought a Hayward salt system the season earlier since that requires me to run the flow rate higher than if I was using pentair salt system. The pentair salt system can “talk” to this pump so it only runs when the pump is on. Takes the guesswork on flow and synchronizing of pools timers out of the equation.

|very nice but not a whisper,
got a great deal on this pump through amazon and with the edison energy rebate. much more quiet than my last pump but not nearly as quiet as people make is seem. Very easy to customize to 4 speed settings. Owned it now for 1 year and has had no problems other than a cracked hinge on the screen cover. saved me about $20 a month in electricity running it 10 hours at 1200 RMP a night compared to 4 hours a day on 3400RPM with my old pump.

I was concerned when purchasing this pump that I would have to have an Intelliflo electric panel to control it. Found out that is only necessary if you want to control it remotely. Do you really need to do that???? I don’t. Had it installed by a pool tech. The tech had never installed this particular pump but had no problems connecting to a Jandy Aqua Switch. The pump replaced a single-speed Jandy pump that worked fine but I wanted to reduce energy costs & get a quieter pump. Has 4 pre-sets for various speeds but for now am using only one pre-set (#1) at 2600 rpm and everything seems to work fine. Hopefully because it is a 3 hp pump running at only 2600 rpm the pump can last for quite awhile. Sure do enjoy going outside to the pool and not being able to hear the pump which is only about 30 ft from the pool. The cascading water to the pool from the spa blocks out any noise from the pump.
